KAHIKATEA CAMP
Last week, our Kahikatea team embarked on an incredible four day adventure at the Christian Youth Camp in Ngaruawahia, filled with exciting activities, house competitions, and sports. Throughout the week, all students took part in a variety of activities including raft building, climbing wall, crate stacking, kayaking, hydroslide, water slide, flying fox and an arts challenge. Working in groups of nine or ten within school houses, they took on challenges that tested their teamwork, creativity, and courage.
Over the week our Tamariki showed excellent behaviour, upholding all RPS values and showing courage representing their respective school houses (Mana, Kotahitanga, Te Hiringa, or Ururoa) in a Haka challenge, a talent quest item, and a house chant. At the end of each day, special shoutouts were given to students who had shown exceptional talent, effort, or sportsmanship.
Over the course of the camp trials were held for the AIMS Netball and Sevens Teams and an upcoming Football Tournament. This showcased the talent of our aspiring players and the enthusiasm of our rising stars. Overall, the camp was an impressive mix of competition, teamwork and structured activities —an unforgettable experience for all involved!

TREAD LIGHTLY CARAVAN
The Tread Lightly Caravan (TLC) is a mobile environmental classroom that visits primary and intermediate schools and community events in the Auckland region. We are lucky to have it on-site this week to support our Science topic – Understanding Nature’s Rhythm.
Through fun, interactive exhibits and activities, the TLC experience inspires students to live environmentally responsible lifestyles. The TLC shows students what we buy, what we eat, how we travel, and using energy in our homes can make a huge difference to our natural environment.
