Sunny Soccer Memorial Match
On Thursday 28 November we played our annual Sonny Shakham Memorial Football matches against The Gardens School. Thank you to all who participated, helping us keep Sunny’s football legacy and memory alive here at Randwick Park School. The results of the games were:
Year 5/6 loss 0-1
Year 7/8 Girls win 3-0
Year 7/8 Boys win 3-1
Thank you to Mr McNaught for preparing our soccer superstars, and Whaea Marilyn for her mahi helping out to get the field ready to play on.
We look forward to continuing this tradition in the future in memory of Sunny.

Celebrating Books Week Last week, Randwick Park School celebrated books. Adults read books in the library at morning tea times, and there were fun activities at lunch, including making brackets, caterpillars, and slugs! Learning programmes were based around a book or books, with classes choosing different authors, genres, and themes. This was a chance for tamariki to get creative and have some fun with books. Room 17 delved into the enchanting tale of Hansel and Gretel, reimagining the story with themselves as adventurous characters and crafting vibrant new book covers. Room 18 read The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson and created amazing pop-up forests with the characters from the book. Room 19 focused on Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, they designed and made bookmarks and ties.
