KOWHAI CAMP: SNOW PLANET & POOLS

Snowplanet is an amazing place for beginners. It is also good for people who are not confident but know how to do it because of the halfway ski slope, a lift that only goes halfway up the real ski slope. They do a very good job of teaching a variety of experienced and not experienced children and adults of all ages it also helps riders in their confidence of going down high slopes because it has one big slope with the halfway slope as well. They are sure that even if they are not very confident they still use their skill to their full extent. This is very emphasised at Snowplanet. It is very cold at Snowplanet. The sleepover helps children build up bravery and independence and it also helps children get ready for future experiences such as camping or hiking but not only does it get ready for stuff like that it encourages them to do more which is very good for them. The adults help with getting beds ready, they make sure that youngsters feel at home and, are happy and that they do not feel out of place.

——————————————————————-
Massey Park Pools is a place for beginners that want to learn how to Swim. There are 5 or 6 adults that help. There is a shallow end, where the little kids go and play and there is a little water fountain. There is also a very, very deep pool that no kid can go in, it is 2 metres deep!! There is a lazy river for beginners to go with the flow. All around the pools, there are benches for adults that want to see which places are dangerous. If you don’t know which places are good for your child, ask the adults. My favourite part of our pool trip was wearing the life jackets.
