CROSS COUNTRY    It was great to see so many students challenging themselves at the Central Counties Cross Country event held at Totara Park on Friday. The course was challenging and muddy! Well done to Petra Fosi-Fenger(9th) and Tuilosa Lologa (10th) who have qualified for the Counties Zone finals due to their top ten finishes.

CHANGE OF OUR BELL TIMESFor this term, we are trialing alternative bell times. We are reducing the number of breaks to two per day and increasing the length of the breaks. The reasoning behind this is to allow more time for sports practices, dance, music, and other activities our coaches and tamariki are involved in over these times.

Here are the changes:
8.30 am – First bell – students to make their way to class/class open

8:40 am – Class learning commences

10:40 am – Start of morning tea break

11:10 am – End of the morning tea break

1:00 pm – Beginning of lunch break

1:30 pm – End of lunch break

2:45 pm – Bell for the end of the day

3:00 pm – All students are to be off of school grounds
with the exception of after-school training or SKIDS.

ATTENDANCE INFORMATION
In Aotearoa New Zealand, ‘regular’ attendance is defined as 90% or higher. This is five or less days absent per term.

In Term 2 we had 43% of Randwick Park School tamaiti attend regularly. Our aim is to raise this number. We can do this with your support.

Ka pai to our Year 6 cohort who had the highest attendance rate in Term 2.

Attending school every day is really important if children are to achieve and succeed. As parents/whānau/ aiga please try to ensure your child /ren comes to school as often as they are able.
